Swiftdater aims to provide an opportunity for single people to meet other like-minded single people in a safe environment. We are however not a matchmaking service and do not perform any type of vetting, character searches or verify any personal information on Swiftdater's participants, including marital status. Swiftdater is not responsible for anything that may happen between individuals during Swiftdater events or thereafter. The onus is on you to verify any information given by a prospective date. When you decide to meet another participant again be as cautious as you would when meeting any person you don't know, for example not disclosing phone numbers or personal details.
By registering with Swiftdater, you agree that neither Swiftdater nor its associates or employees is liable for any damages, direct or indirect, that may arise out of the Swiftdater program. These include, without limitation, damages arising out of communicating with other participants in programs organized by Swiftdater. Such damages include, without limitation, physical damages, bodily injury and or emotional distress and discomfort.
Swiftdater holds the right to change the Terms and Condition at any given time without prior notification to its existing cutomers.
We are not liable for any injuries or damages of any kind which result from any goods and services provided by third parties under the Swiftdater name. These include damages and injuries which result from the venues and/or materials that we use for our Swiftdater events. In the unlikely event of such injuries or damages arising you agree not to hold liable Swiftdater nor its associates or employees with respect thereof. In addition, Swiftdater is not liable for any damage, without limitation, which results from using the Swiftdater Web Site. Furthermore, our web site Swiftdater.co.uk may contain links to other web sites. Please note that when you click on one of these links, you are 'clicking' to another web site. We encourage you to read the privacy statements and terms and conditions of these linked sites as they may differ from ours. Swiftdater are not liable for any negligant service or damages that you might that you might experience as a result of using these linked sites. By booking an event with Swiftdater you warrant and represent that you abide by all the terms and conditions of this agreement. If you do not agree to the terms, please do not register for Swiftdater events. Swiftdater is authorized to change its terms and conditions at any time without notice.
By attending a Swiftdater speed dating event you declare and warrant that you are at least 18 years old, and that you are single.
In the event that Swiftdater receives complaints with respect to any user/member, by more than three persons, Swiftdater may, at its discretion, revoke such user's account privileges, without notice or refund and bar this person from attending any future Swiftdater events.
For security and protection of our participants, a booking form must be completed which must include your home address. In certain circumstances upon arrival at a Swiftdater event you may be required to provide us with proof of identification such as a credit card or a driving license. Please note that Swiftdater will keep confidential all information supplied by you to Swiftdater, and shall use or disclose such information only for the purpose for which such information was collected, or as required by law. When you register with Swiftdater you give Swiftdater the permission to forward your email address and first name (and sometimes the first initial of your last name) to anybody with whom you had corresponding 'yes' ticks, ie with any participant with whom you had a match on your scorecards. If you book for a friend and their contact details are not useable we will automatically use your email address for the purpose of exchanging your friend's matches. Without your prior consent we will not forward your email address to any other people attending the speed dating event. Please also refer to our Privacy Statement.
Swiftdater is entitled to change the price of event tickets without notice or recourse to existing purchasers.
Cancellation/Transfer Policy for Speed Dating and Social Events:
Less than 3 full working days: none
More than 3 full working days: transfer* - £5 admin fee
More than 5 full working days: refund - £7 admin fee
Working days are counted Monday to Friday excluding Public Holidays.
* Transfer to an event of the same value or less. Otherwise difference to be paid.
After a booking has been processed, Swiftdater does not give refunds within 5 FULL WORKING DAYS of the event. If you cancel more than 5 working days before an event refunds are subject to a £7 administration fee per ticket booked. You may transfer to another event provided you give us more than 3 FULL WORKING DAYS notice. Each transfer will incur a £5 administration fee. If you transfer more than once you will be charged another £5 administration fee. In order to receive a refund or transfer, a written notification and confirmation of receipt of this notification by Swiftdater more than 5 working days for cancellations and more than 3 working days for transfers before the originally booked event are required. Persons who do not attend a Swiftdater event without a written notice will not be refunded. In addition, we will not refund customers who are dissatisfied with any of the venues used by Swiftdater or who are dissatisfied with any of the services provided by any of the venues used by Swiftdater. For social events, including walks, we only provide last-minute refunds or transfers if the event is cancelled.
Walks are not cancelled due to rain. We use a deferred payment system, whereby we authorise your funds at the time of booking, but may only debit your account at any time before the event is due. If we then experience difficulties with this authorisation, we'll email and phone you to provide us with alternative payment details. If you fail to get back to us within 18 hours, we may then replace your booking without further notice. In addition, Swiftdater reserves the right to refuse admission or expel, without refund, any person who is offensive and disruptive in the opinion of the organizers. Any such person will not be allowed to further participate in the event from which they are expelled. If we believe that you are in breach of any of our terms and conditions, Swiftdater may terminate your license to attend an event at any time, without explanation, effective upon delivering a verbal or written notice to you. Your right to attend an event is for your own personal use, and you may not authorize others to use your admission.
(Refunds policy for dinner dating. Please let us know if for any reason you and your friend are not able to attend. If one of you is not able to attend, you either need to cancel your double booking or replace your friend with someone of the same sex. We find this policy necessary to make sure we have equal numbers of men and women attending at the event. If you give us at least 72 notice of your cancellation, we can transfer your booking to another event of the same price minus a £5 administration fee. Alternatively, if you give us more than 5 working days notice, we will refund your registration fee, less a £7 administration charge. Unfortunately, if you give us less than 72 hours notice, we are not able to give refunds or switch you to another night. Please contact us if you need to arrange this.)
If an event is cancelled, we will offer you a place on an alternative event or a full refund of any money paid. No other compensation will be considered. We also do not give refunds for a late starting time of our events as a result of no-shows or of other participants arriving late or as a result of any other reason. Very occasionally, for reasons out of our control we may need to change venues. We'll email and phone if neccessary to inform you of such a change. We do not give compensation for a change of venue. In addition, if the contact details you have provided are not correct and we are not able to contact you, we are not liable to give you a refund in case you turn up at the wrong venue.
Referring to a previous offer: 'If there's no-one you'd wanted to meet again at a fully paid event, a free replacement event was offered' - such free replacement is restricted to be within 90 days of the original event. Note that this offer of a free replacement was withdrawn with effect from 24 December 2004.
Our age ranges are guidelines only and we do not offer a guarantee that every participant will fall within the given age range. In addition, we cannot and do not guarantee equal numbers of men and women to attend each event.
We aim to provide around 20 dates per event, but this is not guaranteed. However, should you receive less than 8 dates you will be entitled to attend one other event for free. |

However, we do not offer warranties of any kind, expressed, implied, statutory, in any communication with Swiftdater or its associates, or otherwise with respect to the service. Swiftdater does not warrant that your use of our organization will be safe, uninterrupted, always available, error-free or will meet your requirements. From time to time we may alter or add terms and are not required to notify our customers by doing so. On occasion media will make film clips, take pictures or interview participants. By signing up you agree to permit us to use these films or photographs for purposes of marketing and advertising in the future. However, for close-ups and for the privacy of our participants we normally ask you to sign a release form and receive your permission before publication. As a registered participant of a Swiftdater event, you are offered an opportunity to meet new people. However, we do not guarantee that you will be successful in finding a match with another participant at the event you attend.
